Work in tunnels

The scissors platform / man basket combination makes access to tunnel portals and linings for inspection easy.

Tunnel linings must be drilled to accept OLE anchors. SRS Rail System provide suitable drilling fixtures in the access baskets to ensure accurate and true drilling.

Sometimes a complex pattern of holes are required for anchor bolts to stabilise tunnel linings. The company set up a rig with 7 drilling stands for such a task see Special Projects for typical example in the Saltwood Tunnel.
